The September edition of the NASW News (National Assoc. of Social Workers) just arrived in my mailbox and in addition to the perennial advertisement for SCUPS there was a new ad for a school named the International University for Graduate Studies http://www.internationaluniversity.cc
Their degrees are primarily in the psychotherapy fields. They state that they "are accredited by both W.A.U.C. and I.A.U.S. Worldwide Accrediting Agencies." Bears Guide (13th Edition) lists them in the "Miscellaneous Schools" section and states that, "It was apparently a legitimate and useful program, and the faculty had impressive credentials, but the New York connection and the difficulty getting a catalog (they did not respond to five requests) were a bit odd."
Does anyone have any other information or experience with this place?

My notes suggest that the 'campus' in New York is a psychotherapist referral service. We finally did get a catalog, which indicated accreditation by the dreadful World Association of Universities and Colleges and the unfindable Global Accreditation Commission. They seem to require one week of residency on the island of St. Kitts. Can accreditation there be far behind.
