I am nearing the end of my road in my quest for a BSBA degree.

My search is for an RA MBA with a PM concentration or an MBA - Strategic Leadership.

I do want the MBA letters and strongly prefer the PM concentration.

Oh, one more thing that may be important, they need to accept my DETC undergrad.

It won't be easy but it is possibly.

    Any recommendations from the crew?

You might check out this old thread started by philosophicalme, where I posted a list, with weblinks, of accreditated master's degrees in project management. You'll have to check out which are RA vs. NA, which are MBA vs. MPM or MS or whatever, and which take DETC undergrad degrees. Here it is: http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23551 . Also has links to other old project management threads.

If an NA DETC accredited school would be in your relm of choices, you can check out the PM MBA at

    www.aspen.edu

    Good luck in your search

And wile you're studying for your MBA with PM concentration
try to obtain the PMP - Project Management Professional Certification by PMI.

This will give an edge and improve your prospects as a PM.

MBA is more than PMP you will learn all the necessary skills of manager but you may be able to find more jobs that respect and require PMP cert.

And if for what ever reason you will find MBA with other concentration then PMP training and obtaining the Cert will enhance your MBA as even better that MBA in PM.
There are also Master level - Graduate certificates in PM.

Thanks Lerner, I appreciate the tips.

My desire is to get the MBA for letter recognition and the PMP for training.

I already am a seasoned manager now I want to add the credentials and the PM certification.

My idea is the a MBA - PM will do the trick and get my some training in preparation for the PMI exam.

    That's the idea, anyway.

Some graduate degree programs offer courses on preparing for the PMP exam. For example, Keller Graduate School of Management's Master of Project Management (MPM) degree program has a PMP prep course that can be taken as part of the degree plan. I believe Keller is also accredited by PMI.

    That is definitely an option.

Hopefully I will be able to find a degree that does all three; gives me the MBA letters, prepares me for the exam and gets me some PMI credit.

I one of these existed I would do a happy dance.

Keep in mind that Aspen awards 9 transfer credits for the PMP.

Might be worth considering a4 day bootcamp and sitting for the PMP prior to enrolling.

Of course, that's just my backward way of thinking...

    Hmmm, that is very interesting.

I am very tempted to sign up for that thing right now.
