Does anyone know which kind of Ed.D. Jones International University is trying to offer? In other words, what kinds of specializations? Anyone know anything else about the status of JUI's doctoral application with NCA? I'd be interested in their Ed.D. programs if they were coming quickly down the pipeline for sure. Thanks, lesann
The more the merrier? I know I've been hard on some proprietary schools in other threads, but I don't recall ever hearing anything bad about JIU. It would be nice if the tuition rate were low. How does JIU generally compare with others in tuition? -=Steve=-
I'm not too fond of JIU offering an EdD in education in the near future. The nation is already flodded with doctorates in education.
And DBAs and PhDs in Sciences. The fact that they will offer a EdD wouldn't change the degree inflation happening the US.
Generally speaking, a flooded market is good for consumers, in this case students. Bring them on! -=Steve=-
Yes and No. Yes in the sense that tuition fees will go down but no in terms of utility. Asian students are now complaining that Australian degrees are not worth the paper that is used to print them as the asian market is saturated with Australian DL degrees. I know more than few that have expressed that DL Australian degrees are considered worthless in the Asian market. I don't know about online american PhDs, but I'm sure that once you start seeing hundreds of them in the market the situation will be the same for them.
It will happen exactly the same thing we see with the MBA. It will only add value if it comes from a top school otherwise it would be considered just as another degree in the wall that can be used to impress your friends and family.
