Well, I am now seriously thinking of scrapping and damning this whole law school via DL thing, even though I'm almost halfway through my second year and I passed the California Baby Bar the first time around. I'm not happy, I feel that the knowledge is essentially useless. I've wanted a law degree my whole life, but now that's it's in progress, I find I do not have the dedication it takes to do this thing via DL. So I am turning my attentions to possibly becoming an RN. I want to get in with our local community college on the next semester registration, but they require some prereq's before admittance. I would like to get these out of the way immediately, so as not to put off the program a whole semester back.

So, does anyone know of a DL college with an open enrollment that offers the following classes:?
    -Human Anatomy
    -Human Physiology
    -Intro to Microbiology
    -Basic Nutrition
    -Intro to Psychology
    -Group Discussion or Public Speaking
-Cultural Anthropolgy or Intro to Sociology

Any input and direction is highly appreciated. Also, does anyone out there know of a place to take at least the textbook RN classes via DL? Maybe a college that gets the textbook out of the way, then allows intern credits for the practice requirements.

    Thanks!

For your pre-reqs you can check out mountainstate.edu. They have all of these course open enrollment in the independent learning courses. Most are paper based and you can run through them as fast as you want last time I took classes there.

One issue may be the "LAB" for some of these courses.

Your school may not take the class if the LAB is via DL.. I would check on that before signing on the dotted line!

    Good luck!:D

You might try Cerro Coso Community College. http://www.cerrocoso.edu/

They have some of the classes you list available via DL. I have taken several of their classes and they are pretty good. Just out of curiosity what DL law school do you attend?

    Good Luck on the Prereq's!

Thanks for all the replies! This is definitely something to consider. mountainstate.edu looks promising. I'm not familiar with the accreditation agencies...is the Higher Learning Commission RA?

Jayncali73: I am currently attending Oak Brook College of Law. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them, and the quality of education is excellent. I just don't have the energy for it right now :) Hopefully someday in the future, it's been my dream since third grade. But for now, I want to learn something with a direct application to the real world, something to help people in need.

Who knows? I've been all over the map with what I want to do with my life. I may end up fighting through this semester and get my gumption back. Now THAT would be ideal...
