I am new to the list and tend to be quite wordy. I'll do my best to make this short and sweet. I am a 40ish Regitered Nurse with an Associate's degree and currently finishing my Bachellor's. It's taken me 8 long hard years to get this far and I'm running short on time to complete my Master's. I'm not looking for a cheap, quick fix; just a reputable program where I can get my Master's Degree in Nursing over the internet. I have attempted to research sites over the web with no avail. They all sound "too good to be true" and gimmicky. I'm still not clear on how reputable the "non-traditional" programs are. Any suggestions are sincerely appreciated. Thanks. ------------------ Cindy RN
Welcome Cindy. Two regionally accredited and NLN accredited programs are those at Excelsior College and CSUDH. http://www.excelsior.edu/nur_home.htm http://www.csudh.edu/soh/don/msn.htm I'm sure there are many more, but you're right to be skeptical about any that appear "too good to be true". ------------------ Bill Gossett
Several schools offer MSN programs at a distance. For example, Excelsior College offers a Master of Science degree with a major in Clinical Systems Management. See http://distancelearn.about.com/cs/nursing/ for annotated links to this and other nursing programs. ------------------ Kristin Evenson Hirst DistanceLearn.About.com
Bears' Guide lists more than thirty properly accredited programs that could be relevant for you, including St. Joseph's, San Jose State, Syracuse U, Texas Christian, Old Dominion U, and the U of South Alabama, to pick five at random from the middle of the list. It almost always pays to shop around. John Bear http://www.degree.net
