Hi folks, I'd like to call on your expertise again and ask if anyone knows where I can find a regionally accredited course in Statistics. I'm trying to form a strategy for my college math requirements at COSC and I'm looking to achieve it in least number of moves.
If finding a viable statistics course does not work out, I'm considering college level algebra, which will mean a few prep. courses.
If anyone could share his or her experience with achieving the Math requirement, it sure help. Also, I'm looking for paper based courses with flexible proctoring (i.e. libraries etc..), as I live in Canada.

If your program at Charter Oak doesn't require Statistics, I suggest you simply study for one of the CLEP tests, either the six credit Mathematics one or the College Algebra one. Statistical concepts can be tricky to pick up without in person help, even from an online course.

    Good luck,

I agree with Steve on this one.

I just finished an online applied statistics course. It would have been a serious pain in the #ss had I not already had statistics in the past and that I routinely use statistics for my job.

If you are interested in a short course in statistics that may qualify for an introductory requirement at a college, look at statistics.com http://www.statistics.com/content/courses.html

There is a discussion somewhere at their website about college credit.

The University of Wyoming offers two stats classes that might meet your needs, STAT 2000, Statistics and the World, and STAT 2070, Introductory Statistics for the Social Sciences. Here's their Fall 2006 course schedule:

    Good luck!
