I would be forever (or 5 minutes - whichever comes first) appreciative for any info re: Online RA Graduate ESL programs. TIA
Bears' Guide, 15th edition, lists the following accredited master's degrees in English as a Second Language. Aston University www.les.aston.ac.uk (BG15, 98) Deakin University www.deakin.edu.au (BG15, 108) Macquarie University www.coe.mq.edu.au (BG15, 120) University of Manchester www.man.ac.uk (BG15, 178) University of Melbourne www.unimelb.edu.au (BG15, 140) University of North Dakota www.conted.und.edu (BG15, 179) Oxford Brookes University www.brookes.ac.uk (BG15, 166) Regent University www.regent.edu (BG15, 168) University of South Africa www.unisa.ac.uk (BG15, 144)
I'm surprised the guide didn't have University of Leicester. The program has been around for a while (once of the first fully DL MA TESOL programs.) http://www.le.ac.uk/education/courses/tesol_ma.html I knew a couple of students doing this one and they seemed to enjoy it.
Re: Re: Online RA Graduate ESL programs? Thank you - I also found Indiana University has a online program. Any idea as to costs?
Good eye! Also from 2B2T's _Bears' Guide to the Best Education Degrees by Distance Learning_, add to this mix Azusa Pacific University www.apu.edu and City University www.cityu.edu .
If you go to this relatively recent thread on DL MEd ESL degrees http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23695 , you will find that I have posted there links to some five almost year-old threads I started on DL MEd degrees separated by stated price range, which listings include school name, website, cost info, and majors/concentrations. Happy hunting!
You might try asking on the Teachers' Forum at Dave's ESL Cafe, which despite the low key name is a top ESL site on the Internet. -=Steve=-
