I'm looking for an online post-masters certificate in business, administration, higher education, or something related. Does anyone know of a program? Thanks. Stern
Business and Higher Education aren't exactly related. Do you want to share what your goals are so we can better suggest a program that might meet them? Regards, -=Steve=-
Thank you for replying. True, they're not necessarily related. I am currently a dean at a private college and would like to add a post-masters certificate to my resume. My areas are business and technology, but my current position is administrative. So any one of these areas would suit me. All I can find online seems to be post-masters certificates in nursing. Oakland University in Rochester, MI offers one in higher education administration, which would be perfect. But I really need to do this online because of my schedule. This is the reason for my inquiry. Thanks again. Stern
I'm not sure if you live there but since you mentioned Michigan, this might answer for you. http://www.cel.cmich.edu/programs/concentrations.html?dc=GCERT&cc=465 http://www.cel.cmich.edu/ecampus/default.html I nearly signed up for their MSA degree but decided not to because I was looking for self paced classes for the time being. Also, if location isn't an issue, the school I'm attending has graduate level certificates in business, management, etc. They have quite a few self paced classes available if that attracts you. http://www.salve.edu/graduatestudies/studies-cert.html
I appreciate your response. However, I really do need a certificate at the post-masters level--not just a graduate certificate. Thanks again. Stern
Argosy University has Post Master's certificates under the name of Advanced Certificate but require an MBA for admission. Post Master's are a new concept so you will find few schools offering them. I wonder when a University will come up with postdoctoral certificates in business.
Re: Re: post-masters UOP's shareholders might argue otherwise. Seriously though, why not look at something like this? http://www.liberty.edu/index.cfm?PID=8757
You know, Harvard has some graduate ceritificates in biz that I think are online. Not post-Masters, but doesn't a qualification from harvard pretty much trump all other considerations? BTW: You folks looking for a business prof with 3 yrs PT teaching exp, a JD from a top-tier and mid-way through an good solid AACSB-accredited MBA online? Never hurts to ask.
Another thought occurred to my feverish mind: have you considered just going whole hog and going after a PhD or EdD? There are plenty of those programs offered at a distance (some require residencies). You could focus on administration. Off the top of my head I'm thinking Purdue, Nebraska, Nova Southeastern. You could also do a Summer PhD program. Gonzaga offers one in leadership studies, which could be focused on business, admin, education, what-have-you. Just a thought.
I seem to have a vague recollection from the deepest recesses of my mind that Norwich University www.norwich.edu has, or at least has had, a series of post-MBA certificates.
Stern, I've not looked to see if this is classified as post-masters however it is a interesting cert from an Ivy league that caught my eye when it was discussed here: eCornell - Certificate in Proactive Leadership There was a discussion about post-grad certificates on this forum, again not sure if any were post-masters per se, though not sure how much this matters. You may want to track it down using one of the following search mechanisms: 1) The search engine 2) Ted Heiks All the best, Dave C.

Look here: http://so-mako.sysoff.ctstateu.edu/PUT/ocsu.nsf/all/sixthyearintro It's an education credential that requires 30 credit hours past the master's degree. Good luck.
I believe Nova Southeastern has a post-masters in information security. http://www.scis.nova.edu/Masters/Academic_Programs/Academic_Programs_cert_is.html
Not really a post master's but only a graduate certificate: "This program is designed for students with undergraduate majors in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or physics"
