Hi, I found Chadron through doing research on Peru State University. It appears that Chadron, Peru and Wayne State University have a course agreement for students who are enrolled at one of those three Nebraska institutions and want to take courses at one of the other two.

I did a little more checking into Chadron as well, and didn't find anything negative about it, other than financial difficulties in recent years for both Chadron and Peru; not too surprising I might guess, considering the demographics! It seems that both Peru and Chadron are just getting in to Distance Learning?

"Institutionally, Chadron State College (CSC) is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)(http://www.ncacihe.org/), the post-secondary division of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. CSC is scheduled for its next re-accreditation team-visit during the 2006-07 academic year."

Yes it is regionally accredited and well respected in the area. It is a regional state college that offers undergraduate degrees, master's degress and an Ed.S. in administration. It primarliy trains counslors, teachers, MBA's and has some interesting programs in geology. The author, Marie Sandoz (who wrote a number of books on Crazy Horse) is a graduate. I also am a graduate. I earned my master's degree there and have been successfully employed and certified for more than 20 years as a counselor based on their training.

Just for the record, the other regional accreditors are:

I guess what got me confused is where they say they are accredited by the higher learning comission. As oppose to saying they are accredited by the north central association
