I wonder if he can leap tall buildings in a single bound and bend rivers with his bare hands.
I wonder why they didn't choose Boca Raton or someplace in Ft. Lauderdale, midway between Miami and Boca Raton.
Business Management programs are a dime a dozen, but Judaic Studies is the kind of specialization that should make Touro very successful in South Florida.

It is virtually impossible to distinguish one proprietary school from the others, based on the programs that they offer. The primary distinguishing characteristic is the size of the school's marketing budget, in most cases.

To stand out, a school needs to have a personality and a specialization. Putting the campus in the heart of South Beach is an interesting move. This bears watching.

Indeed. I believe, however, that Touro isn't proprietary per se. I think instead that it's a closely held non-profit, sort of like Lynn University in Boca Raton.

Is there a term used on this board that includes for-profit and visionary-led non-profit schools?

We call well-known state and private schools "traditional". What do we call NSU, UoP, Kaplan, Touro, et.al.?

I've seen the phrase "for-profit and aggressive non-profit", but it's a bit clumsy. I'm not sure a special term is in order, though, as I'm unsure they're really a single category.

But if you insist, perhaps "marketing-driven" would suffice....
