I am almost finished with my BS at excelsior. I am taking 2 classes right now & need 2 more to complete all the requirements. One of the 2 is english composition, I am looking for the " easiest english class" out there. I can't take the Clep as it will not transfer to Excelsior. I heard that the TESC examination is not too difficult. But I rather take a class and actually learn something, but I don't want it to be too hard/demanding. Any help / suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you much. P.S. It has to be an ace reviewed or RA course (no DETC as it will not transfer) Cost is not an issue as my company is paying for it.

Edowave , Thank you for the suggestion, but I am really looking for a course without midterms or finals, the reason is that I hate writing under pressure, I would consider a graded course instead of pass/fail if there are no other alternatives but I really want to stay away from exams. I actually like the Idea of taking a Business writing class, It would certainly be a lot more useful in my situation. I am just wondering if that would be an acceptable option at excelsior, as technical writing courses do not fulfill the English writing requirement. Please keep the suggestions coming, I really want to get this class out of the way, I have been procrastinating for a while now and that's is why I put it aside until the end. Pilot..............
Hi Pilot, I'm in the same boat as you, and am currently looking for a similar course. I would not recommend the course that excelsior offers based on it's requirements. I wasn't aware that a technical writing course wouldn't work for the WER where did you find that out?
Hi Siersema, I called Excelsior and my advisor told me that technical writing does not fulfill the WER. Did you get a different answer from them? If so it's worth trying again, maybe a different advisor will approve it? Pilot.........

Thanks to all of you! I just called Excelsior to confirm their policy regarding the Written English Requirement and they confirmed that business writing or technical writing are not an acceptable. Please keep it coming, I am sure that I will finally find one that fits my needs. Pilot..............

After reading some of the threads on this web site and others I am now leaning towards taking the TECEP English composition. Any advice on how I should prepare for this exam, anything I should particularly focus on? 1. Would taking the English Clep be a good indicator of what to expect on the TECEP? 2. are these exams similar in content/difficulty? 3.The Clep will not fulfill the English Requirement but, I think it will give me an Idea of my level depending on how I would score on the exam?
