I am interested in getting a bachelors degree with an emphasis on finance. (major- finance minor- marketing). I have done some research and am having a hard time choosing where to go. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which school offers the best program?

    University of London

The "best" program is a highly subjective decision, which will depend on what criteria you have (i.e. cost, accreditation, reputation, etc). In order to get meaningful feedback, you should try to provide more information on what criteria matter to you. What are you planning to do with the degree career-wise?

One set of possibilities are the undergraduate programs in finance offered by the University of London External Programme. These degrees are developed by the London School of Economics, which is a very prestigious school.

    Good luck!

There are many good schools. If you are just looking for suggestions, my vote is for Harvard. In truth, just about any ivy league school will give you a great education. Harvard happens to be at the top of the school rankings with US News and World Report.

    Business schools with undergrad/BBA programs

Distance-learning possibilities aside, if you really want to learn finance or marketing as an undergrad, I would look at BBA programs or business programs with an established undergrad track.

    Examples:
    University of Michigan
    Wharton
    NYU Stern
    Indiana University - Kelley
    Babson
    Bentley College - near Boston

Note that not all top business schools have an undergrad version. Stanford doesn't, Harvard doesn't (and unless you want to study pure economics or applied math with an economics conversation, I definitely wouldn't recommend Harvard in your case).

If you're really into the business degree I would definitely look more towards the top public universities--the Ivy League schools and smaller liberal arts colleges tend to go for the well-rounded education approach and won't enable your specialization as much as you probably want.

    Good luck!
