MS BA from a Swedish University?

I live in Sweden and just realized that a rather nice university near me (Linkoping University) offers a one-year Master of Science in Business Administration. The program is b&m, not distance, and there is no charge for admission (it is free!). It is, however, full-time, which means I would have to quit working to do it.

My experience in the business world is rather limited. I managed an antique store for two years right out of college, was in the military for four years, then worked in IT for a few years. I have heard several people here say that an online MBA is good for people already established in a business career but not as beneficial for those who are not already in the business realm. Would a non-distance MS BA be of more benefit to me than a distance MBA if my goal is to transition into the business sector?

It depends on what area of business you want to go into, and where. (Marketing, Finance, HR, etc.) Generally however, if you looking to do a career change, a DL MBA would not be the way to go.

Employers typically hire from the same places, especially if they had good experiences with past hires. I would ask the faculty at Linkoping which companies typically visit them and hire their students.

Therein lies another dilemma. I will be in Europe for three or four more years, but after that I will most likely return to the States. This school is highly regarded in Sweden, and the program is good, but it is not accredited by any American body. Will that make it worthless in the US?

No, there's an established system for getting it evaluated as equivalent. In some instances it may even be a selling point, especially if you talk up your international business experience.
