    Hi.
How are you? I am fine.
Except for one thing...I am a certified teacher in 4 sciences and want to add a math endorsement. Through this forum I found the perfect place -- Converse College -- but they won't let me in because our state Office of Public Instruction has some new and stupid form they have to sign and Converse people are being paranoid and idiotic about it.

Please, if you know of a school offering an online program that allows an already certificated teacher to add a math endorsement let me know.

    Thanks much,
    Sam Gooch

In California you can add additional authorizations by either passing the CSET examination or completing subject matter requirements. For supplementary authorization, you need to have at least 32 units in the subject. Check with your state teacher certification board.

    Here's one

    Western Governors University

"A mathematics endorsement is a great investment. The Endorsement Preparation Program in Mathematics (5-9 or 5-12) program is designed for currently licensed secondary school teachers who desire to teach middle school or high school mathematics."

Well, the great state of Washington allows one to pick up additional subject area certs by taking the relevant GRE Subject Tests. If that doesn't work, have you thought about the MS in Mathematics Education at Montana State University www.montana.edu or MAT in Mathematics Education at the University of Idaho www.uidaho.edu ?

And what is this idiotic form to sign and why is Converse College www.converse.edu being paranoid about it?
