Well I just completed 2 more classes in 6 weeks (6 hrs). This time the Classes were Ethics and Maladaptive Behavior (Criminal Psych).

Ethics was fairly eye opening and got a lot of honest self evaluation from myself. In fact, due to this class, I am even interested in pursuing Ethics as a graduate endeavor. I am simply fascinated by it and its impact upon everything we do. I wonder if there even is an “Ethics” graduate degree?

As for Criminal Psych or Maladaptive Behavior, this was an in depth look into the minds of serial killers and sex offenders. Forensic psychology was a large part of this class going even so far as profiling actual cases. It was interesting and disturbing. I generally do not like psych classes, but this one would be very useful to anyone working in corrections or law enforcement.

I’ve just started my next 2 classes and I’m starting to get tired. I want to finish by November so I’m not going to slack up any, but I really could use a couple of weeks off. However if I do that right now, I will fall 6 weeks behind so no dice. I’ll just stock up on Red Bull and Grit.

Congratulations and good luck as you continue towards your educational goals.

Take this advice from someone who has been there just last year. Do NOT try and tough it out if you are feeling tired. You obviously need a break from studying; there was nobody watching out for me, and by the time I recognized the problem it was too late, and as a consequence I plowed through 33 credit hours of actual courses, not testing out or credit transfer, in only 9 months. I lost a great career opportunity that I had been pushing myself so hard to achieve and sent several months recovering from mental burnout (work-related and study-related in combination).

I'm glad to hear you've chugged through two more! By all means though, take a break if you need one. You want to be somewhat sane when you finally get that degree. ;)

Well, I'm feeling a little tired, partly but not just from school. I'm on a fast track too -- nine credit hours per semester, three semesters per year. I'll be done at the end of the year, though, and that makes the pace worth it to me. I want to apply for doctoral programs with a completed Master's rather than present a weak half-done application or worse, skip a year.

However, I'll be done in December and am unlikely to start a doctoral program until the Fall, so I'll have the break that by then I'll need.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I have a two week break coming up right before the summer term. If I can just stick it out until then, I'll be okay.

It's in June. June, the month of bliss. June, the month of relaxation. June, the month that the gods in their wisdom have decided to grace me with a slight break before I foam at the mouth like an overworked horse. Oh June my lovely.....I may name my daughter after June.
    :p
