Does anyone know of an online liberal seminary (accredited or unaccredited) which offers doctorate degrees in any discipline? Thanks.

    PhD/ThD or DMin?

Several of the overseas institutions that provide opportunities for non-resident PhD research either have significant liberal elements within the ranks of their faculties or are quite able to accomodate students who are desiring to operate from a more liberal vantage point.

It might help if you could narrow your question down a little as to what you deem liberal. Your B.A. is from a Southern Baptist Seminary so that might give some indication as to what you mean, but any additional info will aid in this endevor.

    re:

By liberal, I mean along the line of the United Church of Christ (at the most conservative) and the UUA (my preference). My degree was earned at an SBC seminary, but my theology has changed greatly since then. DMin, ThD, or PhDs are ok.

You can look into Colorado Theological Seminary. State approval in Colorado and I believe under CHEA as well.

    their site is: www.seminary.ws

They seem to have a unique Ph.D in Christian Counseling that looks to be of interest.

    Good luck
