I need some help on my dilemma.

I am about 5 courses away from my MBA from TAMUC.

I am now in a dilemma about whether to enroll with NCU-PhD program rightnow and lock the tuition for next 3 yrs (if i pay the regular tuition for a course at once and continue to do so).

    I have 2 options
    1. To transfer all my graduate credits (about 18) from TAMUC (if NCU accepts all) towards NCU-PhD and continue to complete the program.
    or
    2. Enroll with NCU- PhD program now, take some doctrol classes in Health Care(my Specialization) and later on transfer my 30 MBA (after i finish with TAMUC) credits to the PhD program. Probably start working on my dissertation.

I really need your help for me to come to a conclusion.

    I'm in a similar dilema.

I am completing my MBA this year and starting at NCU prior to completing the MBA. My current MBA courses are being evaluated for transfer into the PhD program and once I have completed the MBA, I can ask to have the non-transferred credits evaluated for transfer (as long as I haven't already had 30 hours transferred in). During the overlap period, you just have to be careful not to take a course that would overlap with something you are taking in the MBA program.

I say finish your TAMUC MBA and meanwhile get an early start on the NCU PhD by taking courses part-time, then transferring the full 30 hours once your MBA is complete.

I am planning to do a general MBA at TAMUC, so i will be able to transfer about 12 credits from my MBA(looking at NCU course requirements) once i complate it. Then I will end up earning about 69 credits for my PhD. This is one option.

Another option is to join NCU right-away ans save about $10K and transfer about 12 credits already earned at TAMUC.

I am not sure what will my MBA at TAMUC buy me if i end up going to NCU for PhD.

I am planning to teach online courses part-time whenever i get time between my companies.

    Looking forward for your thoughts.

    Friend,

I think you've linked two things together that should be uncoupled.

Finish your MBA first. Once you are finished, evaluate the best Ph.D. program that meets your needs at that point. Look, finishing a dissertation is very difficult and you want to get your MBA free and clear from all that anxiety. Besides, everybody has heard of Texas A & M and nearly nobody outside of this board has heard of NCU.
