I was looking at the SATS course and associated price page. For the most basic
'certificate' (on the way to a BTH), the core classes alone run about 7045 South African Rand or about 1142 US dollars.
    (See http://www.sats.edu.za/course.php?ref=pricing)
for the prices of the core classes in R.

The University of London External Programme Diploma of Theology costs 876 pounds or about 1529 US dollars.

So, I'm assuming the two qualifcations are similar. Where is the advantage in price (other than $400)? I'd rather pay the extra and have the U of L name associated with the degree.

    Program and price difference...

    Hi Chislev,

The website information about the undergraduate programs at SATS is rather confusing; yet, it is clear that the MTH costs around $2500 for the entire program, which is extremely reasonable.

For specific BTH pricing, I would simply e-mail them and get an accurate amount, so as to do a fair comparison.

The London BD costs a bit more than you noted, however:

    Base 2006-7 -- L2156 ($3770) + Books (@ $500) + testing fees (?)

    See: http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/prospective_students/undergraduate/heythrop/divinity/fees.shtml

Both programs are excellent. For the small difference in price, ask yourself which culture you prefer to be influcenced by.
