San Juan College

I was just reading in another post about San Juan College and would like to know if there were any thoughts about the college or if anyone here has taken any of their classes. One of the things that I would like more information (that was stated in the post) was that "no proctor needed". I would like to know how they did that. I couldn't find it right off and am about to have to shut down for the night so I thought I'd ask.

Complete Degree?

I was looking on the website, but I didn't see that you can complete a A.S. A.A. or A.A.S there. I wonder how they are so cheap?

I took a look at the website as well. The website says that a proctor may be required.

How will I be Assessed?

As in a face-to-face class, a variety of assessment techniques will be used to gauge your progress. Some courses will use online quizzes and exams.Other courses will have you write papers and submit them electronically. Still other courses may have you create PowerPoint presentations and publish them in your course or maybe work with a small group of other classmates electronically to put together a class presentation. Ideally, you will be assessed using a combination of these techniques. In addition, some courses will require that you take an exam (or exams) in person. That will mean that either you will come to the college at a pre-arranged time or that you will arrange to take the test in front of a proctor.
