    Hey Gang,

Does anyone know of any schools which offer a Certificate in Kinematics - related to bodies in motion? Looking for courses towards accident reconstruction...

    Thanks :)

    Biomechanics degree

    ack - 10 mins elapsed :p

I had no luck finding certs in kinematics but to get much heavier into the topic, I believe Biomechanics would be an appropriate field of study...

Does anyone have any links for Biomechanics degrees? AS leading to BS would be ideal.

    Thanks :)

This topic is usually included in post graduate level studies, and often included in Human Factors or Ergonomics degrees.

I do not know of any DL courses in this subject matter.

Perhaps a general degree including human anatomy, math, physics or engineering, and computer simulation is what you might need here.

For residant courses with a certificate CSUDH offers one in prosthetics http://www.csudh.edu/oandp/Certificatecurriculum.html
and UC Riverside has on in traffic accident reconstruction.

(If you are asking about motor vehicle accident reconstruction you could always ask your local police department for info).

    :)

Athabasca University offers a Bachelor of General Studies (90 credit hours) which could be used to collect courses from various schools for consolidation into a degree in the area of study you are asking about. The BGS is 100% non-residential (100% transfer credit allowed).

indeed - I think that physics or a mechanical engineering degree is the way to go - any AS schools come to mind for physics degrees? ( 100% DL and RA only pls )

    Thanks :)

I'd stick with the physical sciences route. If you are looking for the degree for a specific position, then contact the chief of the position and inquire as to the best possibilities, you'll likely get a B&M. Then inquire with those schools about part time study options. It should help.
