hello, I am new here and know little of distance learning. Currently I work for a fertilizer company. My company is willing to pay for my way for another graduate degree. I was looking into getting a degree in occupational health and safety. However, my educational background is in business and public administration. My work duties on the other hand, are health and safety concerns. I have almost 10yrs experience in health and safety but no degree in this field. Does anyone here know of any legitimate programs which are regionally accredited (my boss told me my company only pays for regionally accredited programs)? Also I looking for a graduate degree where I dont need to take a gazillion prerequisite courses. I am just wanting to know which programs are the best out there in everyones opinion!

You might also want to look at DL Master's of Public Health programs. Often they offer a specialization in occupational health and safety. You might also want to consider pursuing a CSP (certified safety professional) or CIH (certified industrial hygienist) certification since you already have a master's. Not sure where these courses are offered DL, but if you google them, I'm sure some will come up.

USF offers a partially online certificate. I teach safety management and agricultural safety at UF, but I can't seem to get the department motivated about DL.

The University of Connecticut offers a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree in occupational saftey and health:
