I have an Associate's in General Studies (AGS) from Central Texas College. I recieved it during the early 80's while serving in the U.S Army. It served as motivation and a benchmark to move on to complete a B.S and MAOM. I am now in a DBA program.

When I ETD'd from the Army, that AGS help me get my present job in law enforcement.

So, Kaboom, it's clear that you've come a long way in your studies. Would you care to fill us in on your journey? Where did you do your BA/MA? Where are you doing your DBA?

My post was meant as a response to joe12345. I did not mean to start a new thread. Oh well!

Anyway I recieved my BS from Concordia University-Portland, Oregon, and my MAOM from the University of Phoenix. I am working on my DBA in Public Administration through Northcentral University.

I really enjoy this discussion site. After graduating from Concordia I attended my local state university to earn a M.A in Teaching (MAT). That lasted for about a year. After compeleting my practicum at a local alternative school, I decided teaching at the middle/high level was not for me. I spent most of my time dealing with behavioral issues. Also, I found the academics at my local state university to be extremely easy. It wasn't a Concordia.

There are many opinions about the University of Phoenix, Northcentral University and online education, but from my experience (excluding Concordia), they are far better schools than yoour traditional B & M's.

It takes a true academic and lover of higher education to rough through online education.
