Greetings: Can anyone currently enrolled tell me about the credit transfer policy - do all credits transferred have to overlap with course descriptions in the corresponding NCU program? thanks
Hi JJJ. I would contact an enrollment advisor at NCU. They can advise you best on the credit transfer policy at NCU. From the NCU Website: The University may accept a maximum of 90 semester credits in transfer toward the Bachelor's degree for course work completed at an accredited college or university with a grade average of "C" or better. Up to 69 semester credits may be transferred from all 2-year programs. The University may accept a maximum of 6 graduate semester credits in transfer toward the Master’s degree for graduate course work completed at an accredited college or university with a grade of "B" or better. The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree requires 81 graduate semester credits. A maximum of 30 semester credits in related graduate courses may be accepted in transfer.
When I enrolled in the PhD / BA program, they took the max of 30 credits from my MS and many of the classes did not overlap. The best thing to do is contact them.
In my brief foray into the PhD/BA program they accepted 36 units from my MAS degree (but that was an inter-school deal). http://www.ncu.edu/niche_market/landing_page/default.asp?niche_id=2073
