Found article on the American Presbyterian Church site. Looks as if this denomination has its roots in the old Carl McIntyre Bible Presbyterian Church.
Thanks for the article Jimmy. It gives what I'm guessing is a pretty good description of why some religious schools might want to remain unaccredited. While I diagree with the reasoning, I can understand how someone might have those thoughts and feelings. However, their answer to their own question, "How does a parent make a decision about in which unaccredited school they should enroll their child?" seems unsatisfactory. They seem to be saying, "Trust us, your kid will be OK." and not much more than that. Jack
This is why I think there is some connection to the old McIntyre group, especially since they mention him. McIntyre was extrermely distrustful of government and believed the government was controlled by the communists. However, I agree with you, it does provide some reasoning why some legitimate agencies and organizations remain unaccredited.
Yes, thanks very much Jimmy. I have been searching, in vain, for substantial commentary on the anti-accreditation debate. Anyone know of any more? Cheers, George
