When I came here I started looking at the speed and cost issues of getting a DL education. Since then I've started focusing on the schools and on the cost issues.

I hear some people talking about how cheap UniSA is compared to many. Though it would seem that their price raise up enough (by the time you figure your overseas fees) to take it down a few notches.

In relation to the area of study I am most interested in (Anthropology); UoW Lampeter came up. While they aren't exactly bargin basement in price... I don't see them as that big a jump from UniSA. I am I over looking something? If so I'd like to know what, for I am very interested in the program at UoW and would like a bit of input from those who I am sure know far more about the situation than I.

Are you referring to Unisa as "University of South Africa (UNISA)" or "University of South Australia (UniSA)"?

    Just wanting to make sure!

Since UNISA instituted their international fee structure (which wasn't that long ago) there is certainly less of a gap in costs between a school like Lampeter. I don't think you are overlooking anything. The difference in cost simply isn't as great as it once was. With that, some people are more willing to go with the British degree. I can only suppose that the UNISA people have calculated that they make more money from the international fees than they lose by having some students go elsewhere.
