Please kindly provide me a list of South african D/L Universities that offers d/l in business, accounting and or Finance in all levels, i.e., Bach, Masters & Phd.

    Unisa and case-by-case

South Africa has come up in discussions on this board from time to time over the years. Be sure to search the archives for references to "South Africa" and "SA".

Unisa, http://www.unisa.ac.za is the major player down there. It has been discussed extensively.

I have had contact with Cape Town, Rhodes, and Witwatersrand. None of these has a distance program, in the normal sense, but it is possible to make arrangements on a case-by-case basis, if you catch the interest of a key person in the department that you are interested in.

Your success will depend on your ability to build and maintain relationships with your prospective professor.

    Good luck.

There are only about a dozen universities in South Africa and so it doesn't take long to run through their websites and look at the offerings. Here's one to get you started,

    Good luck.

Now you're talkin'! Good to see you asking the right questions.

    First, what Jack Tracey said.

Second, since you're in New Zealand, an Australian program, it seems to me, would be appropriate and acceptable, no?

If so, then use this search engine to find one. To begin:
    1. Type "business" into the "Search for:" field; then,
    2. In the "Attendance Mode:" field, click on "Flexible Delivery", then hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click, also, on "On-line", then release the Ctrl key. Both options should be in reverse video (highlighted); then,
    3. Leave all other fields set to "All" and click on the "Search" button.[/list=1]When you've gone through all those possibilities, go back to the main search page and repeat steps 1, 2, and 3, above, except type "accounting" into the "Search for:" box in item 1.

Then repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 again, only typing "finance" into the "Search for:" box in item 1.

I'd suggest just typing "business accounting finance" into the "Search for:" box in step 1, but there's something weird about the way that search engine is programmed and it seems to work best when only one word is typed into the "Search for:" box. Go figure.

      Anyway... good luck!

    Hi DesElms,

    Thanks,

i do agree that an aussie program suits much better, then again the fees are much higher, compared with S/A universities.

But in saying that, i have university of New England (www.une.edu.au) on my sight.

    cheers,

    Migara
