Anyone hear anything about Mark Israel? Have thought of him from time to time and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about his recovery.

Been awhile since we have been updated. I am sure continued prayers are in order, however.

Looks like, as of this writing, Mark's wife's last entry in her journal was in July 2005... six months ago. I hope that doesn't mean there hasn't been anything good to report since then.

Maybe she'll chime-in this thread and let us know... or maybe, having read this, she'll make a holiday-time update to her journal. We'd sure like to know how things are going.

discretion may be the better part of honouring valour

In light of the viciousness directed at Mark and Rosie elsewhere, perhaps it would be better if she PM'd or e-mailed Gregg and he then filtered the information to the board.

    Why?

I trust Gregg--and the other mods--to handle information with wisdom and above all with discretion. It's not that I don't trust the goodwill of the vast majority of our posters, but I do NOT trust the goodwill of anybody who seeks to pervert this board into a troll nest (while a man of obvious good will and great contribution to DL like Chris Peppler--or Bill Grover--feels himself driven away). We are all of us well enough aware of the sick obduracy of the psychos and neo-you-know-whats who monitor this board in order to gain ammunition. We are all of us well enough aware of the hollowness of denials made both on this board and elsewhere about posting on the temporarily out of commission military (sic) forum, not to mention the mostly silly but on occasion venomous aed.

Please don't let's start arguing about this. Agree or disagree, fine. But if you disagree I will absolutely not argue. I'd rather you think I was stupid than that I contribute anything to marring the manifest goodwill toward Mark and Rosie on this thread.

What we all extend is heartfelt best wishes, prayers if that is your fashion, and hopes for health and progress in Mark's case, and an earnest desire for every available blessing upon this courageous and devoted couple in the year ahead.

Oh, yes. I know how Gregg feels about PMs instead of posts. 99% of the time he's absolutely right about that. This just might be the 1% where another approach is both caring and prudent.

    'nuff said

I can dig that Unk. And I do hope that they have a healing and happy holiday and next year. As, I'm certain, do we all.

Here's hoping Dr. Grover will come back soon. Perhaps after the New Year, he will decide to post again.
