Which School? I know that in my bricks and mortar Master's program at FIT, several students thought that the MGT class would be a snap (which I did also, until I figured that the prof meant business) and consequently did not do too well. In any course, you will get the rewards that you deserve - the more that you put into it, the more you should get out of it.
Hi AGS, Do you mean the CLEP Principles of Management exam? I took this exam a couple of weeks ago and found it relatively easy after studying the "REA Principles of Management" book and using Instantcert to solidify the terminology in my mind. Personally, I found this exam to be slightly easier than the Principles of Marketing exam that I passed the week before. I also took the DANTES Principles of Supervision exam at the same time because there was some overlap between the two exams (Supervision involves lower-level management, whereas Management involves all levels of management). Due to scheduling limitations, I also took the DANTES Intro to Business exam on the same day. Obviously you have to study additional information for this exam, but there is a whole section on management and another section on marketing, so you can maximise your study time by taking this exam close to the time you study for the Principles of Management, Supervision, and Marketing exams. But I will have to be confident in myself for the next exams... And Yes the next 3 Clep exams along with the DANTE exams... I will take Principles of Marketing and Intro to Buisness Law the next day I will take Principles of Acct and the Informa Buis Syst ...on Jan 3/4 The Dante exams will be the week following the CLEP .... thanks for the feedback about the DANTES ...
I just got back from taking CLEP Prin of Management. I got a 69. Will Excelsior give me a letter grade for this or just a pass/fail. The exam was very easy. Mostly common sense. I glanced at Instacert for a few minutes and thumbed thru an old management text book. The topics that stick out in my mind were: The Hawthorne studies X Theory Y Theory Line Level Staff level Chian of command Afermative action The Grapevine Scientific Management Collective Bargaining Behavioral Management It seemed to me that the politically correct answer was the right one. This was essentially a TQM exam. Yes bc, you're right. If you went with the PC answers, you got a good score. I scored 64 with no study. I just remembered the Disney "Performance Management" training, and answered accordingly. Take this exam the same day as DANTES Principles of Supervision, Human Resource Management, and Intro to Business like I did. It's very similar study material.
