Does anyone have any knowledge of Adam Smith University?

Ran across it in a google search and this is the first time I have seen it. It seems to also be one of the Liberia schools, which I have already found to not be worth the paper written on, yet it has some additional charters etc.

    Any feedback. Just curious.

    Their website is:

    http://www.adamsmith.edu/campus.html

PS: Smells like a true Mill to me now that I looked at it.

Use what there is of a search function on this site. I've discussed this outfit extensively. Try "Marianas", "charter", "Grunewald" as search terms. Read about the famous invisible 29000 book library, etc., etc.

Also, quit looking at outfits like this. After your horrible experience with Breyer, run! I know you suspect this one (rightly), but just stay away from the vast majority of unac schools. There are a few that are honest, reputable, and solid, but the odds are agin it. NA, RA, and real foreign accreditation (Oz, SA, Canada, etc) need to be your watchwords. Sadly, Liberia has been in no position to grant meaningful accreditation for many, many years. No one hopes that will change more fervently than I. But it hasn't yet, and likely won't soon.

    Cordially and with best wishes,

    Janko

My belief is that Adam Smith has always been run from the owner's home in upstate NY...and has never been legitimate. They bought phony Liberian accreditation when it was being sold for anywhere from $5,000 to $50,000. And the man behind it all, Dr. Grunewald, really does have a Harvard doctorate.

Yes, he does, but his home is in Connecticut, and he has been in trouble with Connecticut educational authorities for running his enterprise from his home, hence his use of mail-drop services in other jurisdictions.

Lecture in 1755, quoted in Dugald Stewart, Account Of The Life And Writings Of Adam Smith LLD, Section IV, 25.

    …and human empathy

How selfish soever man may be supposed, there are evidently some principles in his nature, which interest him in the fortune of others, and render their happiness necessary to him, though he derives nothing from it, except the pleasure of seeing it.

So I guess our new friend Heiling is going to dump this quotation into every thread, regardless of relevance

The fact that you do not see the relevance explains the problem, which, as it seems, is the existential limitation of the scope of your realm. So, you chose to intimidate in the face of dissent?

You want a debate or an intellectual arm wrestle from an Adam Smith graduate? I can arrange that. Oh wait, you are using a gif to make a point. I see, it is one of those children from the industrial educational system. Probably still paying back student loans. As you were.
