I am wondering if this is a legit school. I can use my A&P license and military experience + some college to receive an Associates Degree. Will employers recognize this degree???

North Central Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE), 41 Perimeter Center East NE, Suite 640, Atlanta GA 30346

COE seems to be a US Dept. of Education recognized accreditor.

There are some excellent vocational-type programs accredited by some of these less scholarly accreditors, particularly at the associates and non-degree level.

(I found out yesterday that the rather prestigious California Culinary Academy is ACCSCT accredited.)

I don't know how well North Central Institute's programs are accepted in your industry though. You probably should ask some employers for their opinion of it. I think the perceived quality of vocational schools varies a lot.

(If your field is aircraft mechanics, I'm told the airlines are begging for qualified mechanics. There's a serious shortage.)

If you plan to go on for a further degree past the associate's level, you should think about credit transferability as well. These non-RA credits may not work as well for that purpose.
