Got this email today in reply to a query I sent out last week. For the life of me I simply cannot find any info on the CSU site anywhere about tuition and fees per semester or year (is the figure in this email TOTAL tuition for the entire program?) -- nor can I find any specific info about the research doctorate process. And the site states that residencies ARE required yet this email from admissions says not. Anyone know anything about this or where I can find some info???? Thanks much in advance [IMG]

<<<sorry to take so long to get back to you as I have been away. Yes you can do a PhD without coming onto the campus. The cost is $10500 Australian (about half that in US$). The PhD is a research only degree. The minimum time fulltime study is two years, maximum is 4 years. For parttime study (half the fee cost) you can take 2 - 8 years. The
program is thesis only with an approximately word length of 100,000. You enroll through the International Office. When you put in your enrolment you should include a one page outline of you science education research areain order to link you to an appropriate supervisor.>>>

    Sunnie,

I was just at the site looking at such programs. It seems to me, by looking at several different Doctorate-level programs, that the quoted cost of 10,500 is the total cost of the award. I base this on most of the Doctorate degrees asking ~1150 per unit with ~8-10 units for the award.

    Also, try:
    http://www.csu.edu.au/research/

Notice the small text links under the banner and above the large graphic; a great place to start your queries on research at CSU.

    Regards,

This is great -- thanks. Still can't figure out why I couldn't find that myself [IMG] I may have more questions after I go through all this. Thanks again.

    Greetings,

The cost at CS for the DL PsyD (Doctorate is Psychology)is $2100A per 16 point subject. This translates to around $1100 US per 16pts. For the PsyD, a total of 192 points are required. This is a three year program, full time. Which equals around a very reasonable $4100 US per year. I'm going through the application process right now. If you have any questions, please feel to email me.

I have been wondering about the fees as well. Do you happen to know what kind of fees they charge for a master's in psychology? I sent an inquiry several months ago and have yet to receive anything.
    Thanks

    If you go to:
    http://wwwdb.csu.edu.au/division/marketing/courses/postgrad/pg-arts/emapsy/emapsy-csu.htm

You will see the fees are $1125 AU per eight-point subject, as well as a listing of all the required subjects and point values.

    Hope this helps,

    Christian
