Does anyone know if schools except degrees from the University of Phoenix for the acceptance into a master's program? Assuming my GMAT scores are good also, and my GPA is high wouldn't schools have to accept me into grad school because uophx is regionally accredited or no? I've emailed a few of the schools I want to attend and all I got out of them is "we'll consider it, we must look at your transcripts" or something to that variation. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.

Graduate degree acceptance has generally been of the following criteria:

1.) Accreditation of your undergraduate degree.
    2.) Your specific major.
    3.) Your GPA.
4.) Occasionally your GMAT or GRE scores, though there are a ton of schools out there who do not require a GMAT or GRE for acceptance into grad school with an adequate GPA...usually 3.0 or 3.5 or better.

When you start looking at schools like Harvard, Yale, etc....where you got your undergrad starts to come into play. Though most state schools are not so stringent.

I am a graduate of UOP with a BSB/M, I had no issues getting into George Washington University (www.gwu.edu) and George Mason University (www.gmu.edu) for their MBA programs (both high-ranked and AACSB accredited). I had about a 3.2 GPA and a decently high GMAT score. UOP is regionally accredited, so most schools are going to look at your GPA and GMAT/GRE scores (if required) and base their decision on those factors.

There are plenty of UOP graduates who have gotten into pretty decent grad schools, check out phoenixalumni.com and futuremagonline.com and flip to "going places"

    Good luck!

Thanks for feedback. How did you like the program at uophx? Was it challenging and would you recommend it? Did you have any problems with uophx?

I liked it, I actually learned quite a bit, the classes that gave me the most trouble were statistics and algebra (I had to take algebra to fill up a couple of gen eds). I had some excellent professors and the material was relevant to what's going on in business, I would recommend it.

The problem you may run into is staff turnover, UOP doesn't pay very well and there is a lot of turnover at some of the campuses. Another one is the group work, be very wary of who you pick to go through classes with, that aspect alone can make or break the program for you.
