    Hi:

I just ordered the Official DSST Study Guide, is this enough to prepare for the Ethics in America DANTES exam?

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

    Respectfully,

    Abner :)

    Hi Abner,

I found Instacert.com to be more than sufficient for passing the Ethics exam, with the sample questions from the Official DSST guide serving as reinforcement. Be sure to check out the tips over at DegreeForum. I received my highest score to date -- out of 26 exams taken -- on this one.

If you are at Excelsior, consider sitting the ECE Ethics exam the same week for additional, upper-level credit.

    Good luck!

How does the ECE Ethics exam compare to Dantes (other than the price)? Easier, harder, about the same?

I just got my report back from COSC and need an ethics. I see DSST Ethics on Instacert, but It requires an essay doesnt it? I like my CLEP test because of the instant results. Anyone know how similar the ECE Version is and will the same prep material, in this case Instacert, be sufficient. Thanks!!!

    Lou,

As far as I know, the DSST Ethics in America does not require an essay. I am preparing for it as we speak. Will take after 1/3/06 when the testing site reopens. As far as the ECE version, I don't remember why I chose not to take it. So far, nobody here has given any feedback.

I think I chose to take Labor relations and HR management ECE's rather than the Ethics. I have some expertise in these areas and would rather pay the higher ECE fee on these tests.

I recently transferred into COSC from the University of Iowa DL program. I hear COSC is a good school, they seem nice so far!

    Take care,

    Abner

I definatly would like to hear your feelings on the test after you take it. I would rather do the DSST instead of the ECE for cost reasons also. I like what I have seen from COSC so far, they gave me my status report yesterday and I have 100 credits, so I am alot closer than i though. Good luck on your test!! keep us posted.!
