    Afternoon all,

I am a new member of the forum and just wanted to provide a brief intro of the online MBA at the Unversity of Texas - Dallas (UTD). You can visit the UTD website here -> UTD Global Online MBA

I've been taking courses part-time at UTD since 2001 and will finish my MBA in 2006. I've been quite happy with the online courses (they use WebCT as their online engine) and pretty happy with the school overall.

I'd highly recommend folks looking into this program...it is fairly inexpensive and the MBA program was recently selected by US News as one of the best Grad Schools in the country (#37 in their rankings of Research contributions).

BTW - Hi to all...hopefully you'll see more of me on the forum.

Thanks eric....I certainly have wondered about their program. About what did you pay for the UT MBA if you don't mind my asking?

Welcome to the Degree Info Eric,
I have heard good things about UTDallas but their MBA program is a tad on the expensive side at 631 per credit hour. I also see nothing that makes it that much different from other options(for example Texas A&M-commerce & U of Wyoming waives the GMAT,which makes those DL programs unique and both are cheaper than UTD) . The program does look solid though and I wish you the best.

I've been paying ~ $415 per credit hour (tuition, fees, distance learning fees, etc).

Tim - good points....not sure that there are really any points for the UTD MBA program that would "put it over the top" for people when comparing against other programs....like everything, it comes down to personal preference.

If I had to do over, I probably would have gone with a different program myself to be able to customize the learning process, but you live and learn right? :)

Though my experiences as a Texas A & M - Commerce graduate student have been rewarding, I could just as easily have gone the UTDallas Global Online MBA route. The UTD program was among my final three choices.

Eric, continued success in your studies.

BoogieRambler- thanks for sharing. UTD has a good plan for progressing from a PMP to MBA to MSM in 3 years I believe.

How much more study is required at Commerce to go from an MBA to MSM? (Basing this on your signature.) How long did it take you personally to complete your MBA?

Thanks Karl. Hope your MSM at A&M Commerce goes well too.

    Eric, your welcome.

My MSM degree plan will require seven more management courses to complete degree requirements. I am presently enrolled for two classes in the Spring, so at this pace I should complete my coursework by Fall 2006.

I began my MBA coursework in Spring of 2004, LivefromHouston.
