What would be the best option for someone wanting to get a bach. finance degree, not just business, but business finance. I need a 100% online school and cannot go to testing centers. Price does not matter at all, my employer said they will take the bill. Please let me know what you think the best options are for me. I've heard of countless masters degree programs, but only a few bach. programs so please let me know. Thank you.

What about University of Maryland University College? Or University of Phoenix? They both have a finance program and are heavily advertised on the internet. Does anyone know about these two programs? I know they are both regionally accredited and that means a lot. has anyone attended those two? If so, would you reccomend it? Thanks.

I'm sure there will be people here you can help you with your question. However, I can't in good conscience recommend a school that doesn't meet my own standards. I don't consider schools that have reputations as virtual or online Universities unless there is no other choice. It's my opinion that a DL degree from a traditional B&M institution is a lower risk investment that is often cheaper to boot. Why, you may ask, would a virtual campus/online university be a higher risk? Based on a significant number of people still being unconvinced that DL provides the same quality education as a traditional school why choose a school that is going to scream "online?" You are going to be able to find several traditional schools that offer DL degrees in finance at the bachelors level. I just don't see any advantage at all in choosing UoP and to a lesser extent UMUC.

    Good luck.

Can you please tell what B&M schools you are talking about then? What are these "several traditional schools that offer DL degrees in finance" I haven't many of them at all that are 100% online. If you could tell me, I'd appreciate it.

The four schools I listed previously are such schools. I found them with one 10 minute search on Google. As someone who researched hundreds of schools compiling a list of Computer Science graduate schools by DL, I feel pretty confident that those four are just the tip of the ice berg. The only difference is that you are not likely to see them employ aggressive marketing, SPAM and other annoying ploys to convince students that they are their one best hope. In your search just be a good shopper.

If you want to look for more schools on your own, here is the Google search that I used:

finance bachelor OR BS OR BA "distance learning" site:.edu

Cut-and-paste that into the Google search and off you go. After using it for a little while you may be able to refine the search a bit more. Any school you find, just make sure they are regionally or nationally accredited. If you are not sure you can try to find the school in the CHEA database.

That would be C.P.A. Bach or Ch.F.P. Bach, not C.P.E. Bach, W.F. Bach, or J.S. Bach.
