I read that link. I can't believe how inexpensive Harvard's extension school is. Are you a Harvard extension alumnus?
I received my ALB from Harvard (Extension) in 1986. At that time it was actually less expensive to take courses at Harvard Extension than it was to take courses at the local State Universities. I had taken a few at UMass-Boston and at Boston State College (which no longer exists) before I met a woman who was enrolled in the ALB program at Harvard Extension. I don't remember how many credits I transferred into that program but it took me about four years to finish my degree. At the time I thought that it was the best kept secret in higher education. I'm glad to know it has become better known. If my daughter wanted to do what the kid in the article is doing I'd have no problem with it (except the rental rates for apartments in the Cambridge area can be pretty steep). Jack
A lot of the people I counsel live in the Cambridge area, some of whom talk about education issues sometimes. I'll definitely recommend Harvard Extension.
If I could turn back time If I could go back in time I'd go back to the beginning of high school so that I could actually take it seriously and get into Harvard proper. Hmm, on the other hand, considering how much fun it wasn't to be a teenager, maybe you have the right idea.... -=Steve=-
Save those of us who don't want to go look the trouble... exactly how inexpensive are we talkin' about?
