Hi everyone, I passed the Analyzing Literature exam today evening. I scored 59 and missed the A by just one mark, but during the exam i thought i was going to do real badly. The support and advice given by all of you has helped me.Only after reading your replies i knew that i'll have to work real fast through the comprehensions and that helped. Next on my list is the Principles of Management.I am planning to join instacert. Thanks again, Adoncia
Thanks Thanks Randell, I want to take the CLEP Principles of Management soon...maybe next week. I was looking at instacert and they have a basic membership plan which seems good. I might register for that. Adoncia
How'd you do? American Lit today? I hope you did well. The main thing is that you got started! Ready fire aim! Instacert is a good program if you use it. I noticed that many of the real Clep/dantes questions weren't verbatim, but the real questions were oftentimes in Instacerts answers and explanations. So if you use instacert, make sure you read the answers. Good luck
thanks Thanks Randell, I want to take the CLEP Principles of Management next. I might join instacert and i have a Barrons book also.I hope that will be sufficient. What do you think? Adoncia
Thanks Ultimale, I took the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature today.I scored 59.I am glad i passed as i was quite nervous. In fact during the exam i was almost certain that i would'nt pass. I want to take Principles of Management next week. Thanks for the tip about instacert, that will help. Adoncia
Adoncia, For the Principles of Management exam, I used Barron's Business Review Management and it was enough. Make sure you really understand all of the management theories, such as Path-Goal Theory, Theory X and Y, the Hawthorne effect and others and your common sense will carry you through the rest of it! Good luck! Rhonda
I don't know why but that Analyzing Lit felt like the hardest exam I had ever taken. I got an A, and honestly I'm not sure how. Travis
Thanks Uncle Janko,Abner,Bruce and Fwd. Bruce, yes it's 6 hrs straight for this exam. Thanks Rhonda,i have read the Barron EZ 101 once and i think this exam will not be easy for me.Thanks for the tip about the theories.I will concentrate more on them. Thanks Travis, same goes for me.During the exam i thought i will never complete all the questions (as some were so long and confusing,i had to read them again and again) and i was almost sure i'll not pass. thank you all, Adoncia
Hi Thekingster, I would give the same advice that others on this forum had given me...to work really fast on this exam. In fact after the 15 mins or so i realized that i was going really slow and so started reading the comprehensions only once carefully. My preparation was not so good as i had not taken a timed practice test and i would suggest that one should take at least a couple of them just to know how much time it takes you to complete all 80 questions. Adoncia
congratulations on your pass. i personally loved that test. There are two other 6 hour cleps in that domain that can be taken as well, american and english lit.
