    Hey, Everyone!

I thought a few of you would be interested to know that I've been accepted into the Graduate Diploma in Ministry program at Tabor College in Adelaide, Australia. This program constitutes the first half of the two-year MMin degree at Tabor. I plan to begin my studies in this program as I segue out of my Spurgeon's College studies. My motivations for undertaking this program are two-fold: first, for personal and vocational enrichment; this program will enable me to sharpen up in a couple of areas in which my prior studies have not provided me preparation. Second, as I've expressed in times passed, I wish to gain a "global" theological education. This program will enable me to become familiarized with Australasian perspectives before I move on to doctoral work in South Africa.

Incidentally, just as I was the first American student in the Spurgeon's master's programs, I also am the first American student to undertake postgrad study through Tabor.

You might want to reconsider, I understand that Columbia State has a mighty fine theology department. [IMG]

    Seriously...Congratulations and best wishes!!!!!

CL, congrats and best of luck with Tabor. Are you graduating from Spurgeon, or just leaving the program?

They do indeed, North. Dr. Pellar teaches all courses from his prison cell via closed circuit TV. Rumor has it that upon his release there are plans to begin a seminary--Columbia State University School of Divinity. The Ph.D. in theology can be earned in just under 30 days, 27 I think it is. I will be graduating from the Spurgeon's MTh in Applied Theology. I have some more work to complete first, but thought I'd go ahead and get things in order with Tabor College so that I could continue my studies there immediately following the completion of my Spurgeon's work.

At a couple of points during my journey through the MTh program, I have been tempted to leave the program. This, however, has had everything to do with my frustrations with myself and my time constraints and nothing to do with Spurgeon's College. The experience that they have provided me has been first-rate. I consider it a real privilege to have spent time as a Spurgeon's student.

By the way, I've shared this link before, but I'll do it again here because of its relevance. You can view the Tabor website at www.tabor.edu.au
