Just thought I would throw this out there. I applied to COSC. They received my application and transcripts 10/03/05. I was accepted to COSC 10/14/05. Per a letter from COSC, minimum response time for a full extensive evaluation is 4 weeks. Obviously, I take that to be 4 weeks from 10/14/05, as that was the date I was "accepted". I will add I did provide COSC will sealed transcripts from all the schools I have attended. I hope to need very few credits, or none at all for a B.A. in liberal studies with a concentration in Spanish after the evaluation is completed. Anyway, what has the amount of time been for those of you who obtained an extensive evaluation from COSC? 4 weeks, 5 weeks? Just wondering. I have been waiting on pins and needles. On the other hand, I don't want to rush them either. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Abner

The 5-6 weeks figure sounds about right. I can understand feeling antsy about it, especially since I was feeling pretty much the same way. Matt F
Thanks Matt! I have been a student for so long it feels weird to just have to sit and wait. I am always either taking a distance class or preparing for a CLEP or DANTES. Oh well! Hopefully I will hear something this week or next week. As of 11/14/05 it has been a month. Thanks for your comments! Abner
Yes, the time count starts from the date they receive all of your transcripts. I applied for admissions in Dec 04 but all of my transcript did not get to them until the mid Jan 05 and I did not get my evaluation until almost the end of Feb 05. So just think of it this way, they do not start processing the rest of your application until they get all of your transcripts that you put on your application for the evaluation.
