    Hi folks

I completed my application for an evaluation with tesc and paid $75.00 for admision and $400.00 for the evaluation. Are the credits officially Transcripted by tesc or is it just an email type document? Also would this fee include the credit bank?

    Thanks for the info.

    Carlos,

A newsletter from TESC claimed credit banking was discontinued at TESC this July, though I still see references to it on the tuition and fees page.

Your transcript(s) will be evaluated and the results posted on the 'My Edison' student portal. Once you enroll, your grades, updated degree audit, account information, scheduling resources, etc., are all activated and available through My Edison.

The $400 you paid for the transcript evaluation should be deducted from the year's tuition plan.

Good luck; if you have more questions, I'm happy to relate my recent good experiences with TESC.

The ILA service was discontinued, but credit banking is still in full force at TESC.

    June 28, 2005 - ILA® Service Discontinued
Effective July 1, 2005, Thomas Edison State College will discontinue the Individual Learner’s Account (ILA®) service. Thomas Edison State College will accept ACE credit recommendations or other college credits for placement (banking) on a college transcript through its Credit Banking service. To access this service, complete the Nondegree Services Application or call the Office of Admissions toll free at (888) 442-8372 for more information and/or to request a copy of the application.

I went to a TESC open house back in May, and it was my impression at the time that if you had a credit eval done, it would go into a ILA account if you didn't enroll at the school. Of course this was before the ILA program was discontinued. As Mark said, a degree audit with your evaluated credits will be on myEdison. Since the cost of the credit evaluation and credit banking services are similar, I would assume your credits are 'banked'. I would definately run this question through the TESC advisement center. According to the Pre-Enrollment evaluation form I got at the open house, you only have 45 after the credit eval is done to enroll in the college and have the money apply to your tuition.

Anyway, I assume you're going to be a student at TESC, if so, welcome! I'm pursuing my BSBA/CIS there.
