Got a notice that my stuff is being "shipped" to me. This SOUNDS different, anyway. In the past, study guides were mailed from the Dispatch. Now, they are a "consignment". With a "tracking number".

Hunh. Well, it sounds like a lot more stuff. Hope so; it costs a lot more!

I'll post when it arrives and tell you all what's in it!

(I wonder if it is pallatized? :D)

If you hear the sound of air brakes in your driveway in a couple weeks, the answer is "yes"...

...either that or Steve Levicoff's come to visit.

I'd say keep your doors locked 'til you know, one way or the other.

(Oh, c'mon... just kiddin' around!) ;)

    Hi,

What is the difference? My study material also got tracking numbers too and they are sent to my home directly. This has been the same since 2003.

When I was enrolled in the LLB program at UoL your materials just showed up one day, several months after you registered. It was fun. They never told you they were coming, never got a tracking number, nothing. One day they were on the doorstep, in a nifty box with University of London written on it.

External Laws is (at the undergraduate level) and was (at the graduate level) cheap. They also had a lot of students. You were really on your own and the materials shipment was just like that. If I remember correctly you were/are in the MBA program, which of course has higher tuition, and for that extra money you get a tracking number (and presumably more support).

They did however Fed Ex my results to me. Nothing like sitting in the parking lot of the Fed Ex depot with shaking hands opening that envelope!

    Whoosh! Squeal!

Yes, even at the new programme tariffs, the London LL.M. is pretty cheap; about half the cost of an American LL.M.

The new program is SUPPOSED to include much more extensive materials.

I'll listen for the air brakes!

Hmm... I thought the dispatch of study materials are all the same among UoL programmes. So it is now obvious that they have different ways of dispatching...

On the contrary, I receive results via ordinary Air Mail.....not any of the DHL nor Fedex....
