I want to go back to school to get my MBA, and I would like to do it online. I have done a lot of research on the accredited online colleges, and I wanted to know if anyone has attended Jones International University. What are your thoughts and opinions about this school. If anyone else has considere JIU I would love to hear your opinion as well. Thanks for the help with this!

I have no personal experience with Jones, the so-called "first online-only college", but I like the look of their programs. I have been especially interested in their Business Communications degrees. Jones accepts credits and degrees from nationally-accredited institutions, and they are RA, which is another plus. The only downside I see is lack of name recognition, no B&M presence and the cost, which is high. If cost and prestige are not barriers for you, JIU should be fine.

I like their MBA program. I have on occasion lusted after their concentration in Negotiation and Conflict Management. In the end though I find it too pricey (for me) for a school with no name recognition.

On the other hand, I'm have no reason to think it's anything other than a fine MBA program and would probably serve you well.

Thanks for the information. However, I do have a question about the comments about the cost. I have checked into University of Phoenix and Regis University, and they are both more expensive then Jones. What other good online colleges would anyone recommend?

Amberton University comes to mind. Great reputation here on the discussion board for responsiveness and an outstanding price at $200.00 per credit hour for Graduate courses. They're RA accredited, and have a couple of different flavors of the MBA program you're looking for.

You can check their Graduate degree program offerngs here:

I will put a plug in for the University of North Alabama. My experience has been good so far. Not the cheapest around, at $900 per class but it meets my needs.

For an MBA you have nothing but choices!

    Frequently mentioned schools include:

    Bellevue University
    Baker College
    Texas A&M Commerce
    UMass
    Amberton
    Morehead State
    University of North Alabama
    California State University DH

    And many others.

US News is a good source for DL MBA programs.
