I'm considering Indiana Wesleyan University for my MBA.

What is your opinion about this program? Has anyone here attended the university?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

I have looked at them. My co-worker got her MBA at IWU and she is in their executive PhD program, in Org Behavior, right now. It is a well respected school around here. My co-worker has many good things to say about the school and the professors. I have lunch with her offten to compare my NCU with her IWU experience. So far, I am pleased that they are similar.

If you are looking at them you will likely have a good experience. Are you taking it externally? If so, there might be cheaper options out there for you. It's not known as a distance school yet so you can get some mileage out of it for now. Cheaper options might be Cal State-Dominguez Hills, Colorado State, Indiana University, and Amberton.

If you are going to pay IWU tuition you might want to give Taylor's MBA program a look, given your location. I haven't look at it but they had a deal at their Fort Wayne campus.

    Re: Doctorate

    Try this instead...

The page says that they have the EdD. True. They started the program as an EdD but offer it in the PhD, too. She swtiched from the EdD to the PhD.

For the most part, it is an external degree. They have the summer cohort thing which my co-worker says was sort of worthless but you had to do. Other than that, it's a distance degree she says. For a PhD, tuition costs are low for this program.

    AACSB

My big concern with this university is they are not AACSB accredited.

Does anyone know how important this will be to employers?

    Re: AACSB

Which employers? There's been some opinions and anecdotal evidence expressed on this forum in the past that an AACSB accredited degree might be necessary for employment in a major AACSB university program. However, I don't believe there's any evidence either way for employment in the business world.
It's not really my area and so others might know better.
