a la carte courses

Does anyone know of any courses that can be completed in 8 weeks or less that are RA and can be taken a la carte? I'm mostly interested in upper level credit in social science, humanites, or business. Correspondence and independent study courses are fine too.

It looks like you can complete both the web and correspondence courses quickly if you wish.

Also from what I've read you can complete NCU courses in less than the 16 weeks, but they aren't specifically 8 week courses.

 

VESI classes transcripted via Portland State you can get credit in counseling and sociology. There is also other school in Missouri.. Methodist College I can't remember the name they could work too, the rest of schools transcript VESI as Education classes or they are very expensive.

 

APUS offers relatively cheap 8-week courses, no enrollment necessary:

Rhonda have you looked at the summer and winter sessions? Many universities that follow the semester system (as opposed to the quarter system) offer classes in summer and winter and some of them are online as well. Additionally, many european universities offer short term courses (anywhere from 1 - 8 weeks) but typically those are hard to find unless you search thru each university's individual website.

 

Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University) has lots of courses that you can take any time (self study), exams take place twice a year.

Don't know bout RA though
