I have just been referred to this web site, at the perfect time, I just discovered a new distance learning program and I am thinking of enrolling. Has anyone heard of Madison University? Any advice would be great. Thank you in advance.

For the sake of clarity, are you referring to James Madison University (www.jmu.edu)?

I don't think so, unless it is a branch of James Madison University. I haven't asked that yet. It is located in Mississippi. I just received the information today and have not reviewed it in detail yet. I plan to do so tonight. The prices are very reasonable, they offer many different degree majors. Thanks again.

  4. This "university" is not accredited by any association recognized by the US Department of Education; it touts its accreditation by the World Association of Universities and Colleges, often associated with much less-than-wonderful schools.

The website provides no names at all -- indeed, not any mention of any administration, faculty or staff, nor any physical address.

I've seen the printed brochure they call a catalog, and there's not much more to it.

It sounds like Kristin has nailed that one. What sort of degree program were trying to find?

My advice: Avoid it like the plague.

What sort of program are you interested in...? Maybe we can find a more useful alternative.
