Elizabeth Laurie granddaughter of Wal-Mart co-founder Bud Walton has surrendered her diploma to Southern Cal. Another young lady claims she did Miss Walton's school work for most of Elizabeth's college career. This is not a distance topic but I think there is a parallel here with persons who take the easy way either by purchasing a phoney degree or having someone else do the work. I wonder if anyone who has a degree from a diploma mill has ever had to return their diploma or tried to get their money back?
Your text and title don't match. Your text says (correctly) that she surrendered her degree (which USC accepted), but your title says USC yanked it (which didn't happen).
I created a thread on this and moved it to Off Topic It is an interesting story of wealth and the "entitlement mentality" and at least one example of high stakes, long-term cheating...the intersection of laziness and privledge..it may not be that much of a surprise to the community here. People who make tv, should weave elements of this story into a "drawn from the headlines" drama. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansa...ws/12946679.htm http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/states/california/northern_california/12943897.htm
