Has anyone taken the english course 'Persuasive Writing' from BYU? If so, could you share your thoughts on the course. Thank you!
I'm taking that course now. It's very well done and is at least as demanding as any "butt in the seat" English class I've taken and more demanding than some. The first half of the course is based on readings from the two texts -- followed by online - open book quizes. Then there are some writing assignments labeled "essay" that expect 4+ pages. Not as easy as I had hoped but it is a writing intensive course. So far, I'm pleased with the materials and the presentation. That said, it meets the written Enlgish requirement of Excelsior AND is upper level.
