Greetings... Any recommendations on management programs related to leadership and/or organizational management? I think Cornell's certificate looks great, but wanted to see about a graduate degree. Thanks all.

Why not take a look at St.Joseph's College of Maine http://www.sjcme.edu/masterbusadmin/mbanew.html

Looks like their program is really strong on organizational leadership. Although there is some debate(amoung us here at DI) on how strong of an actual business degree it is!
(I'm certain Gregg never thought he'd see me post this!)

Southwest College offers an MS in leadership:

Amberton offers an MBA in leadership

    So does Fort Hayes State

    and Baker College:

In certain there are plenty more! those were all I could think of off the top of my head.

Duquesne has a Master of Arts in Leadership and Liberal Studies online:

Many thanks Miguel and Rivers. I've done plenty of searching and you've come up with many that I missed! Hopefully I'll find something that will be a good supplement to my MBA. Any other suggestions are welcome!

Reading this board regularly had me searching for the same types of programs, with a particular interest in the St. Josephs program (thanks, Rivers). The Amberton program looks worthwhile as well. The only other one I can think of is Bellevue University in NE, which also offers an M.A. in Leadership.

    Best of luck!

I personally don't regularly recommend Bellevue because they require at minimum 2 proctored tests a semester. Which very often can be a hardship.

Now there's justice for you! For I dunno how long, I was the only one around here touting the St. Joseph's program -- to the point that Rivers and I got into it about it in another thread here a while back (hence the reason he's saying that I'd be surprised at his recommendation here) -- and now Rivers gets credit for suggesting it. Life is unfair.

    ;)

But seriously... here's another one, just FYI: Mountain State University's Master of Science in Strategic Leadership (M.S.S.L.).

Well, it's almost Thanksgiving, so I guess I'll eat a little crow instead of turkey this year.....

Sorry DesElms, it WAS your recommendations that peaked my interest in St. Joseph. BUT.... in all fairness it was in the thread where you and Rivers debated it, thus my associating the subject with both of you.

So (trumpets blaring, cheerleaders screaming your praise, and confetti streaming down), THANK YOU DesElms!

However, thanks for the info on the proctored testing for the Leadership M.A. at Bellevue, Rivers. The undergrad program I'm in at Bellevue doesn't require any, but it sounds different for the Grad programs. I'll check it out.

I was just screwin' around. I don't care who gets credit...

...although, the irony of first Rivers touting the St. Joseph's program, and then you giving him credit for turning you onto it happening all in one thread... well... the injustice of it all, you know? (kidding)

    ;)

Seriously, I'm glad you like the program. I've always been a fan of the school, and I like how sort of unusual and quirky the program is when compared with other, more traditional MBA programs. It's most definitely not for everyone; but if leadership and ethics is what's desired, the St. Joseph's program is a good choice. So, it appears, are several others listed in this thread, though.

I figured you must have almost had a coronary!

FOR THE RECORD: I never said I didn't like it as a leadership program..The business end is my contention, but as a leadership program I must admit I like SJCME.In otherwords in a MBA thread I will probably never mention SJCME.

Just came across a program through Seton Hall on Communication and Leadership that I thought I'd pass along to those interested. It requires a couple brief residencies.

If you have any other graduate degrees, please pass them along!
