If you decide to enroll at Excelsior and your courses are listed on a transcript. I was wondering if they list all your courses that you took and also the schools attended? In other wrods, do they list the courses under the titles of the actual courses applicable at Excelsior or do they list the titles that were provided by the school the credits were earned from originally. On the transcript does it list the colleges that the student attended, or do they just list the courses but no school. Just curious.

    TRANSCRIPT

The transcript shows The name of the school, name of the exam, ie:Clep, dantes, GRE, etc. the date, the name of the course, name of the ACE reviewed credit or the military service school with credit and grade.

I don't believe they have + or- on the grades so a C minus would show as a C grade. Also, I don't believe they post E or F or U grades. Helps out the GPA! D grades might be posted now but I am not sure.

The information I am giving you is based on my past dealings. However, I graduated when they were USNY (Regents College) in 1992, so I am sure some of the guidelines have changed.

The transcript shows the name of the class as it wa provided to Excelsior. If you took "Biology 101 - General Biology" at Podunk State University then that is what Excelsior puts on the transcript.

The list is sorted by the source of credit. If you took Biology 101 at Podunk State then it will be listed as from Podunk State -- if it was from an exam then it will be listed as from an exam.

    Excelsior does not post + or - grades, just the letter. So, a C+ becomes a C and a C- becomes a C.

Grades of P (pass) or S (satisfactory) are posted without effect on the GPA but are given credit.

A D will be tranferred and listed as a D. Failing grades such as F, WF, U, etc... will not transfer at all.

You can elect (in writing) to supress any grades you would like. If you got a C in English 101 then you can ask that the class not be included in your transfer. You won't get credit or a grade but it can help your GPA.

You can not suppress courses you take at Excelsior, only transfers.
