Anyone know of a cheap Regional Accred online course.

    CS something

I've completed all the intro type CS courses.
I need one more CS course to fullfill my Cs elective requirement.

    Thanks

I think someone at one time mentioned that the Game Institute (http://www.gameinstitute.com/courses.php) provided courses which were eligible for transfer credit. Not sure whether the transfer applied to NA or RA schools.

    Steve,

Try www.tesc.edu . TESC has been well discussed here so any further questions will surely be answered.

    Sentinel,

IIRC, Excelsior gives credit for some GI courses.

Do you need upper level classes or lower level?

If you know of a lower level course I'd rather take it.
As I'm just trying to meet an elective requirement.

Anything outside of my list is fair game

My list of CS or IS courses completed is:
IS316 Computer Sys Analys & Design II
    IS315 Computer Sys Analysis & Design I
    CS360 Database Management
    IS310 Business Applications
    CS365 Computer Networking
    CS140 Intro. DP Conc
    CS151 Intor. to Programming
    CS205 Managing Information Systems
    CS219 Programming Fundamentals
    CS365 Networks/Data Communications

If you know BASIC, QBASIC, or C, there are exams at TESC worth 3 credits each. They even provide a sample of the types of questions on the exam. You could conceivably review BASIC over a weekend and write the exam the following Monday.

At Athabasca you can challenge courses for something like 250 Canadian dollars. But you have to have prior knowledge/experience in order to be approved.

Are there any community colleges in your area? They tend to be pretty cheap.

Broome Community College offers lower-level online computer science courses for $118 per credit regardless of out-of-state residency:

No proctor was required for the assembly language course I took with Broome.

I am trying to challenge COMP347, I have a good bit of experience and several certs so I am hoping that they approve it. Only 250 Canadian dollars is pretty darn cheap too....
